The night time singing nightingale is the perfect bird to name our porter after. Not only is it robust itself but of course it's evening antics nicely reflect the darkness and richness of Nightingale. It's also a nod to a very famous and amazing Nightingale who spent part of her life in and around Whatstandwell.
